All our marimbas are uniform in design and feature the finest wood available for superior sound quality. The marimbas are not only made to sound great, but they look great as well.

TRANSPORTABLE

The steel frames that our marimbas are built on provide a solid base and allows for ease of transport in any situation. Our resonators detach from the frame, and the legs fold up so that your whole ensemble is easy to move around.

COLOURFUL

Our frames are fitted to accommodate a banner on the front of the marimba, which provide striking patterns of colour and decoration on our instruments. The wood is carefully stained to give it the best shine

PERSONALIZED

The marimbas are made for you, so you can have a say as well! Choose the stains for the wood and select from our range of banners, or have a custom banner made for you!

LARGER RANGE

All our marimbas generally have a larger range than other traditional marimbas, allowing for more expansive playing and adding greater variety to your music.

Our marimbas

All our marimbas are uniform in design and feature the finest wood available for superior sound quality.

The marimbas are not only made to sound great, but they look great as well. We stain and coat the wood to bring out the best qualities in colour and durability. The steel frame that the marimbas are built on provides a solid base and allows for ease of transport in any situation. Our resonators detach from the frame, and the legs fold up so that your whole ensemble is easy to move around. Lastly, our frames are fitted to accommodate a banner on the front of the marimba, which will provide striking patterns of colour and decoration to our instruments.

Personalisation

We also allow our clients options regarding the design process. The marimbas are made for you, so you can have a say as well! You can choose the stain we use and choose your own patterns, and even brand the marimbas in a way which is unique to only your company.

Marimba Maintenance

Like all instruments, marimbas also need servicing after a while. Improper handling, playing or general ageing may result in parts of a marimba becoming brittle or broken.

You may need:

  • New notes
  • Have the marimba restrung
  • Reframing of the instrument
  • Have your banners redone.

 

Little Cat Studios can assist in this regard, and we can help service all marimbas, whether they are our marimbas or not.

We will come and assess the instruments in question and discuss the options available for servicing marimbas. After which you will receive quotes depending on the options discussed, and we will go ahead with fixing and servicing your instruments.

Maintenance Plans

You can also choose to become part of our maintenance plan, which will allow your company to receive a check-up on your ensemble twice a year.

The plan will cover fixing and replacing 20% of the total notes and restringing all the marimbas in your ensemble. We will come and assess your instruments and see if anything needs fixing, to ensure that your marimbas are always in their best state.
